Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead basic tailoring sessions and mentor community tailors to train students
- Teach advanced tailoring techniques and current fashion practices
- Coordinate workshop schedules, participant assessments, materials, tools and programme logistics
- Monitor programme objectives, timelines and participant outcomes
- Facilitate capacity-building workshops on tailoring, fashion trends and entrepreneurship
- Plan and deliver a community fashion show with participants and local stakeholders
- Prepare garments, runway presentations, venue logistics and invitations for the fashion show
- Track participation, skill improvement and feedback and report progress to the Programme Manager
Role Requirements
- High school diploma or vocational tailoring certificate with five years of relevant experience, or a university degree in tailoring, fashion design, textile studies or a related field with three years of relevant experience
- Proven tailoring and garment-making experience across basic and advanced techniques
- Teaching or mentoring experience, preferably in a community setting
- Organisational and project-management capability with event-coordination experience
- Fluency in English
- Medical fitness, residency or visa compliance and security clearance required for appointment
Desired Criteria
- Prior experience leading fashion shows or similar events
