National Technical Consultant – Women Artisans of ChangeNew

Provides technical and coordination support for UN Women's Women Artisans of Change initiative in India's handloom, handicrafts and textile sector. The consultant works with government, partners, industry and women artisans to deliver training, consultations, knowledge products and events that advance women’s entrepreneurship, leadership, sustainable production, market access and economi

• Provide technical support for women’s economic-empowerment initiatives in the handloom, handicrafts and textile sector
• Coordinate with the Ministry of Textiles, agencies, partners, industry and academic institutions
• Design and facilitate training, workshops and capacity-building on gender, entrepreneurship and sustainable textile practices
• Develop reports, policy briefs, concept notes, proposals and communication materials
• Support research and advocacy on women artisans, weavers and circularity in the textile sector
• Coordinate consultations, conferences, exhibitions and flagship events including Bharat TEX

• Degree in design, fashion technology or a related field, or first-level university degree with four additional years of qualifying experience
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in the handloom, handicrafts, textile sector and sustainable or circular economy
• Sound knowledge of gender equality and women’s economic empowerment in livelihoods, entrepreneurship, skills development and value chains
• Strong written English and good command of Hindi
