Overview

Supports management of IOM Costa Rica’s assisted voluntary return programme, integrating protection across operations and case management. The role coordinates budgets, monitoring, data and reports, supervises case managers and project staff, manages partners and develops safeguards for migrants in vulnerable situations.

Salary

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operational, administrative and financial delivery of the assisted-return project
  • Track implementation, identify gaps and recommend corrective actions
  • Develop workplans, budgets, monitoring tools and standard operating procedures
  • Maintain project data, information systems and visibility materials
  • Integrate protection principles into assisted-return activities
  • Supervise case-management systems, case managers and project staff
  • Coordinate reports, partners, donors, authorities and UN agencies
  • Assess protection risks and develop prevention and mitigation strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, international relations, development studies, migration studies, human rights, law or a related field with two years of experience, or a master’s degree in one of those fields
  • Experience liaising with government, international institutions, UN agencies and NGOs
  • Experience working with migrants, refugees, displaced people, trafficking survivors or other vulnerable groups
  • Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English
  • Valid residence and work authorisation in Costa Rica
