Responsibilities

  • Review workshop documentation and analyse its findings and recommendations
  • Agree the roadmap methodology, structure and format with UNESCO and the national council
  • Consolidate thematic working-group outputs into a coherent technical framework
  • Develop reform frameworks for curricula, learner pathways, teacher standards, delivery, governance and monitoring
  • Prepare the accelerated-learning reform roadmap with objectives, actions, responsibilities and milestones
  • Facilitate four technical validation meetings with the national council
  • Revise and finalise a publication-ready roadmap incorporating agreed feedback

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in education, curriculum studies, education planning, educational policy, adult education, teacher education, educational management or a related field
  • At least ten years of progressively responsible professional experience in the education sector
  • Experience designing, reviewing or reforming education policies, curricula or national education programmes
  • Experience facilitating national technical workshops, consultations and multi-stakeholder policy dialogue
  • Experience preparing strategic documents, policy papers, roadmaps or implementation frameworks for government or development partners
  • Experience working with ministries of education, curriculum institutions or national education authorities
  • Excellent written and spoken Arabic and good command of English
