Job Description
Strengthens the evidence and data systems that underpin child-rights programming in Eswatini. The role coordinates UNICEF evidence planning, supports monitoring of the country programme and works with government and partners to use reliable information, national monitoring frameworks and child-rights priorities to improve programming and decisions for children.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Strengthen national data systems for child-rights monitoring
- Influence the national child-rights monitoring agenda, policies and programming to improve outcomes for children
- Manage and coordinate UNICEF evidence planning
- Support UNICEF programme management for child-rights monitoring
- Support the Head of Office to ensure compliance with UNICEF Programme Procedures
- Develop and implement the monitoring framework for UNICEF Eswatini’s programme
Role Requirements
- Bachelor or equivalent degree in Social Science, Statistics, Public Policy, Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, International Development, Political Science, Data Science or a related field
- At least two years of relevant experience in development, research, planning, monitoring and evaluation, social development planning, data management or analytics
- At least one year of experience working with data and analytics
- Fluency in English and Siswati
Desired Criteria
- Familiarity with child-rights normative frameworks
- Background or familiarity with emergencies
- Previous United Nations-system experience
- Relevant country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
