Overview
Leads monitoring strategy and systems for WFP Ghana. The consultant advises management on risk and performance, strengthens indicators, data quality and COMET processes, integrates protection and inclusion, builds partner capacity and turns evidence into programme and donor decisions.

Responsibilities
- Lead monitoring strategy, frameworks, plans and procedures
- Define indicators, tools and methodologies aligned with WFP standards
- Advise management on trends, risks, gaps and corrective action
- Integrate gender, protection, accountability and inclusion into monitoring
- Develop remote, digital, risk-based and third-party monitoring approaches
- Strengthen staff and partner capacity in sampling, analysis and data use
- Manage COMET data quality, validation and reconciliation processes
- Produce monitoring reports, donor inputs, learning products and evidence-based recommendations
- Represent WFP in technical discussions with government and partners
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in social sciences, statistics, development economics, performance management, monitoring and evaluation or a related field, or first degree with additional relevant experience or training
- At least eight years of relevant experience including monitoring and policy or guidance development
- Fluent English
- Intermediate knowledge of one listed second official United Nations or WFP working language
