Provides primary nursing, triage and emergency-referral support at IOM’s Musina reception centre, helping migrants access safe care, documenting consultations, maintaining clinical supplies and coordinating with health facilities and response partners.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide triage, first aid and basic nursing care for migrants
- Refer urgent cases to emergency medical services and health facilities
- Conduct fit-to-travel assessments and monitor vital signs
- Document consultations, referrals and clinical handovers
- Provide health advice on hygiene, medicines and danger signs
- Monitor medical supplies and report stock-outs
- Coordinate with IOM teams, health facilities and site management
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Nursing
- Valid South African nursing licence
- Bachelor’s degree with three years of nursing experience, or diploma with five years
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience in migration health or humanitarian response
- Knowledge of local or migrant-community languages
