Job Description
Two Online Volunteers will support UNIC Manama’s media-monitoring work for Bahrain and the Gulf region. Each volunteer will track news and social-media developments relevant to the United Nations, analyse public perceptions and regional issues, cover personnel activities, and prepare daily media updates, coverage reports and a weekly report in coordination with the communications unit.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Monitor news and social-media platforms for headlines and developments relevant to United Nations work
- Identify and summarise positive and critical public opinions on the effectiveness of United Nations efforts
- Cover United Nations personnel activities related to key regional issues
- Develop daily media updates and media-coverage reports with the communications unit
- Produce one weekly media-monitoring report
Role Requirements
- Previous experience in media and communication, particularly media monitoring
- Proficiency in English and Arabic
- Provide samples of previous media-monitoring work
