Digital Communications and Social Media Support

Creates bilingual digital content for UN Women Palestine's communications and advocacy work on gender equality. The volunteer writes and adapts social-media copy, develops Reels, short videos and visual formats, and reviews performance to improve audience engagement. The assignment expands the reach of programme messages and highlights Palestinian women and girls across relevant platforms.

• Develop social-media content in Arabic and English
• Draft and edit captions, short social-media copy and campaign messages
• Adapt content for Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube
• Follow relevant social-media trends and suggest suitable creative formats
• Develop Reels, short videos, carousels, quote cards and other digital content
• Support efforts to increase audience reach, engagement and interaction
• Review social-media performance and identify effective content and formats
• Contribute to communications and advocacy campaigns

• Background or studies in communications, media, journalism, marketing, digital communications or a related field
• Strong writing and editing skills in Arabic and English
• Good understanding of Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and coordinate remotely with team members

• Understanding of methods to improve social-media reach, engagement and audience interaction
• Familiarity with Canva, CapCut or similar content-creation and editing tools
• Basic knowledge of social-media analytics and performance indicators
