Overview
Create and maintain high-quality metadata for the IAEA Library’s physical and digital collections. The associate applies international cataloguing standards, supports users and circulation, improves the library management system and automates metadata, notification and reporting workflows.

Responsibilities
- Create bibliographic, authority and metadata records
- Review and enhance metadata accuracy and discoverability
- Assign classifications, subject headings and controlled vocabulary
- Provide circulation, reference and user-guidance services
- Resolve metadata issues and support quality assurance
- Configure and test the library management and discovery systems
- Automate metadata imports, notifications and reporting
- Improve resource-sharing and cataloguing workflows
Requirements
- Completed secondary education
- At least six years of relevant experience
- At least five years of library cataloguing or metadata experience
- Experience with MARC21, AACR2, RDA, LCSH and UDC
- Excellent written and spoken English
