Supports the OSCE Mission to Serbia's political analysis, communications and reporting by researching and verifying information, drafting and proofreading written products, monitoring reforms and news, coordinating inputs from field teams and maintaining section information systems.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and proofread reports, correspondence, talking points, media summaries and other written products
  • Conduct research, fact-finding, information verification and analysis for the Office of the Head of Mission
  • Track reform initiatives and other priority issues supported by the Mission
  • Coordinate with field teams and departments to ensure consistent and accurate Mission reporting
  • Prepare daily headline-news reviews, updates and backup morning press briefings
  • Support field visits and meetings and prepare minutes when required
  • Organize and streamline the units' archives and information-management systems

Role Requirements

  • Citizenship of an OSCE participating State other than sole citizenship of Serbia
  • Under 30 years of age on the vacancy deadline
  • No previous cumulative OSCE internship service of six months
  • University degree or at least two years of full-time university study in a relevant field
  • Fluency in English
  • Valid health-insurance coverage for Serbia or enrolment in the OSCE group plan

Desired Criteria

  • Previous experience with an international organization, diplomacy, government, civil society or political organization
  • Knowledge of Serbian, Croatian or Bosnian

  • The internship is expected to begin in January 2027
  • Travel to and from the duty station is not reimbursed, while official internship travel is covered
  • Interns joining the OSCE group health plan pay a monthly premium of EUR 129.44; OSCE covers group life and accident or disability insurance
