Responsibilities
- Prepare targeted briefings and analysis on political, security and conflict developments
- Monitor press and official reporting for emerging political-military issues
- Develop weekly situational-update slides, scripts and readouts
- Analyse major events including NATO summits
- Support senior visits, exercises, conferences and country missions
- Prepare and update regional and country guides for LANDCOM activities
- Represent the Political Adviser Office at briefings and provide readouts
- Maintain the Political Adviser Office SharePoint site
Requirements
- Citizenship of a NATO member nation
- At least two years of successful university study or equivalent, with current-student or recent-graduate status
- University certification that the internship supports the applicant’s professional development
- Proficiency in English
- University degree in political science, public administration, international relations or a related discipline, or enrolment in the final eighteen months of such a programme
- Experience in international affairs and familiarity with NATO roles, policies and practices
- Ability to work effectively in a multinational environment
