Responsibilities
- Design the prototype architecture, technical specifications, wireframes and user journeys
- Develop gamified digital-safety learning modules and one-tap GBV referral functions
- Apply safe and ethical GBV data standards, informed consent, data minimisation and privacy-by-design principles
- Conduct youth-centred consultations, user testing, validation and safety assessments across three counties
- Refine and deliver a functional prototype with complete source files and technical documentation
- Create an integration plan and support adoption in two youth-focused SRHR and GBV-prevention programmes
- Deliver partner training, consultation reports, a final consultancy report and handover package
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, software engineering, digital innovation or a related field
- At least three years of demonstrable experience in digital product design, safety, security and privacy by design, human-centred design, software development or technology-for-development
- Expertise in digital safety, GBV prevention or technology-facilitated gender-based violence in Kenya
- Experience designing youth-centred digital products, gamified learning tools or digital-literacy interventions
- Knowledge of ethical technology, data protection and safety-by-design approaches
- Experience with participatory or co-design methodologies
- Fluency in English and Swahili

- Remote consultancy scheduled for approximately 45 days from 12 August to 25 September
- Consultant must provide their own office space, computer, internet, telephone and other equipment
