Responsibilities

  • Develop, review and communicate HR policies, procedures and guidance
  • Coordinate policy consultation with management, staff representatives, legal advisers and HR teams
  • Represent UN Women in UN common-system groups on HR policy and harmonisation
  • Provide authoritative advice on policy interpretation, exceptions and precedents
  • Redesign the performance-management framework around expectations, feedback and growth
  • Oversee the online performance system and continuously improve its processes
  • Advise managers on sensitive performance and under-performance cases
  • Design training and coaching that builds feedback and performance-development capability

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, public administration or a related social-science field
  • First-level university degree with 2 additional years of qualifying experience may substitute for the advanced degree
  • At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, HR policy, change management or programme management
  • Experience drafting, developing or implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Experience in HR performance management
  • Experience working globally in a multicultural environment
