Head Health Centre B

Leads an UNRWA health centre in the West Bank, providing outpatient, maternal and child health, non-communicable disease and referral services. The physician manages staff, medicines, supplies and reporting; conducts medical examinations; maintains community and authority relationships; and trains clinical personnel.

• Provide general outpatient, maternal and child health, non-communicable disease and referral services
• Conduct medical examinations for hardship-assistance applicants and staff
• Manage health-centre services, personnel, supplies and reporting
• Supervise and evaluate medical, nursing and paramedical staff
• Maintain relationships with the local community and authorities
• Ensure medicine and medical-supply availability, quality and validity
• Oversee ordering, receipt, survey and destruction of unusable or expired items
• Deliver on-the-job and in-service training

• Medical degree from an accredited institution, including an internship of at least twelve months
• Valid licence to practise medicine in the duty-station jurisdiction
• At least five years of progressively responsible relevant professional experience
• English at UN Level II
• Current residence in the West Bank or Jerusalem and authorisation to work at the duty station
• Internal-candidate status

• Fixed-term appointment for one year with possible extension
• Open to internal candidates only
• Only candidates residing in the West Bank or Jerusalem and authorised to work at the duty station are eligible
• Grade HL07 monthly basic salary is USD 2,509.10, payable in Jordanian dinars at the United Nations exchange rate
• A roster may be created
