Job Description

Leads home-based financial management support for Nigerian health-sector partners, strengthening asset controls, budgeting, accounting practices and capacity across state and local health agencies. Summary of Responsibilities

  • Strengthen asset registration, verification and accountability controls
  • Facilitate financial-management reforms with health-sector stakeholders
  • Deliver training on accounting software for finance units
  • Lead financial planning and budgeting processes
  • Build partner capacity through mentoring and technical support
  • Develop knowledge systems for financial-management learning

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, business administration, finance, accounting or audit
  • Minimum seven years of progressive financial-management, accounting and financial-controls experience
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Desired Criteria

  • Master's or professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ICAN or ACCA
  • Experience supporting donor-funded health programmes
  • Knowledge of Nigeria's health-financing and primary health-care systems
