Overview

Provides specialist finance support to UNICEF Nigeria’s health and polio programmes, ensuring accurate HOPE payments, reconciliations and records. The role resolves transaction issues with service providers, prepares financial reports and supports budget, audit and year-end processes.

Responsibilities

  • Verify completeness and accuracy of HOPE and health payment requests
  • Maintain payment records and reconcile balances, statements and transactions
  • Validate financial data and adherence to internal-control procedures
  • Prepare recurring finance, budget and audit reports
  • Complete payments for year-end close, grant expiry and financial closure
  • Resolve transaction and failed-payment queries with service providers
  • Maintain bank liaison, reconciliations and exchange-rate information
  • Prepare cost estimates and contribute to budget analysis

Requirements

  • Completed secondary education in a related field
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting or a related field
  • Proficient or fluent English
