Responsibilities
- Assess water, sanitation and drainage infrastructure in shelters, schools and affected communities
- Design and supervise construction and rehabilitation of emergency WASH infrastructure
- Oversee temporary WASH services in line with humanitarian, protection and public-health standards
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and cost estimates
- Monitor water supply, treatment, storage, quality and service continuity
- Supervise contractors and technical personnel for quality, safety and schedule compliance
- Coordinate authorities and partners, report technical progress and address implementation risks
- Integrate resilience, environmental sustainability and disaster-risk reduction into interventions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with three years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with five years of relevant experience
- Relevant experience in designing, constructing, supervising or rehabilitating water, sanitation or civil infrastructure
- Experience in WASH programming, water supply, sanitation, drainage and community-infrastructure rehabilitation
- Fluent Spanish
- Availability for frequent travel to affected field locations
