Consultoría de Protección en Emergencia

The consultant supports emergency protection delivery in assigned Venezuelan areas by accompanying mobile teams and partners, monitoring risks and referrals, mainstreaming protection across sectors, strengthening institutions and documenting progress and lessons.

Department: Protection Unit

• Join community activities, accommodation-site visits and mobile protection work in the assigned area
• Deliver risk-prevention, child protection, gender-based violence and anti-trafficking activities
• Monitor implementing partners against emergency protection standards and case-management safeguards
• Mainstream protection, gender, age and diversity across shelter, WASH, health and camp interventions
• Identify protection risks and barriers and activate confidential, survivor-centred referral pathways
• Map services and support safe spaces and protection information points in affected communities
• Coordinate with protection teams, public institutions and humanitarian actors and strengthen local capacity
• Produce monthly and final reports on activities, findings, risks, lessons and recommendations

• University degree in law, social work, psychology, political science, social sciences, humanities or a related field
• At least one year implementing humanitarian or protection activities with vulnerable communities
• Knowledge of gender-based violence, child protection or trafficking, referral pathways or protection monitoring
• Availability to reside or deploy continuously in the assigned area for the contract duration

• Work plan is due during the first month, followed by monthly reports and a final consolidated report
• Consultants receive occupational accident and illness coverage but must hold their own non-occupational medical insurance
• Offer is subject to funding confirmation and appointment clearances
