Job Description

The Health and Well-Being Specialist advances workplace health through occupational health, mental-health and staff well-being initiatives. The P-3 role coordinates clinical and preventive services, wellness programmes and confidential health information while analysing workforce data. It collaborates with health providers to improve care, policy implementation and a resilient workplace culture.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate occupational health, mental health and staff well-being initiatives
  • Coordinate clinical and preventive health services including nursing care, first aid and vaccinations
  • Lead wellness, resilience and healthy-lifestyle programmes
  • Analyse workforce health data and use insights to improve services
  • Support policy development, health entitlements and confidential health-information management
  • Collaborate with providers and partners to strengthen occupational health services

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse certification, or Bachelor of Medicine
  • Valid licence to practise in the District of Columbia
  • Seven years of national and international occupational-health services experience in a clinical, corporate, governmental or intergovernmental environment
  • Fluency in English or Spanish with working knowledge of the other language

Desired Criteria

  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and enterprise resource planning systems
