Director, Knowledge, Innovation and Foresight

Leads UNOPS knowledge, innovation and foresight work, setting strategic direction for thematic missions and strengthening how organisational learning, innovation and trend analysis inform partnerships and service delivery.

• Define strategic and operational priorities for Knowledge, Innovation and Foresight in line with the UNOPS strategic plan
• Advise senior management on organisational strategies, priorities and future operations
• Provide strategic oversight across thematic missions and supervise technical experts
• Represent mission thematic areas at senior level and support mission leads as focal points
• Embed mission-led intent into partner strategies and partner-facing materials
• Set direction for knowledge and learning frameworks, systems, processes and organisational linkages
• Lead innovation processes from ideation and testing through progression to service offering and delivery
• Direct foresight mechanisms including horizon scanning, trend analysis and scenario planning

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in international development, business administration, public policy, economics, political science, futures studies or a related discipline with 12 years of relevant experience, or master's degree or equivalent in one of those fields with 10 years of relevant experience
• Extensive senior leadership experience in international or similarly complex organisations with a strong track record advising senior decision-makers and leading interdisciplinary technical teams
• Experience designing and implementing initiatives in at least two areas among knowledge management and organisational learning, innovation and strategic foresight
• Experience developing organisational infrastructure for knowledge, learning, innovation or foresight functions and integrating these capabilities into operations
• Experience overseeing complex portfolios and thematic areas, linking strategy to delivery and partnerships, and representing organisations externally
• Experience working in multicultural environments
• Fluency in English
