Overview

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and monitor the country programme in line with national priorities and UNFPA strategy
  • Strengthen national capacity for population data, sexual and reproductive health and rights-based policy
  • Lead programme quality assurance, monitoring, evaluation, learning and corporate reporting
  • Build government, United Nations, donor, civil-society, academic and private-sector partnerships
  • Advance advocacy, policy dialogue, communications and resource mobilisation for the ICPD agenda
  • Guide humanitarian preparedness and integrate UNFPA priorities into national and inter-agency plans
  • Manage staff, budgets and programme resources with transparent performance standards

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree in public health, medicine, sociology, demography, gender, international relations, development, economics, public administration, management or a related field
  • Ten years of increasingly responsible professional experience in public administration and international development
  • International experience in population and development, sexual and reproductive health or humanitarian programming
  • Experience in advocacy and policy dialogue at national and international levels
  • Proven ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality results
  • Field experience
  • Fluency in English and French
