The consultancy will analyse the 2026 NCD Country Capacity Survey for the Eastern Mediterranean Region, compare progress across survey rounds, produce national and regional surveillance reports, and update advocacy resources on health-system capacity and facility-based NCD monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret 2026 NCD Country Capacity Survey data and compare results with earlier rounds
  • Draft mortality profiles for Eastern Mediterranean Region countries
  • Produce the full regional survey report and a comparative progress report covering 2017 to 2026
  • Prepare regional and national fact sheets, presentations and data summaries
  • Assess implementation of facility-based NCD monitoring guidance using survey and WHO data
  • Maintain a regional repository of NCD strategies, plans and survey reports
  • Update technical and advocacy resources on NCD surveillance methods and priorities

Requirements

  • First university degree in public health or a relevant field
  • International experience in noncommunicable-disease epidemiology, policies and strategies in Eastern Mediterranean countries
  • Demonstrated capacity using statistical data-analysis software
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Medical certificate of fitness for work
