Consultant on Gender Equality and Women Economic Empowerment

Supports ESCWA's regional gender-equality portfolio through research, data collection and analysis, knowledge products, stakeholder meetings and capacity-building activities focused on unpaid care work, women's economic empowerment and gender-responsive policy reform in Arab States.

Department: Gender Justice, Population and Inclusive Development Cluster

• Research gender equality and women's economic empowerment topics
• Prepare questionnaires, interview guides and focus-group tools
• Analyse collected data and other technical inputs
• Draft sections of studies, reports and knowledge products
• Develop concept notes and presentations for policy discussions
• Prepare inputs for stakeholder meetings and capacity-building workshops

• Master's degree in social, economic, gender or anthropology studies or a related field
• At least five years of professional experience in socio-economic issues
• Experience preparing and reviewing publications or reports
• Experience working in the Arab region
• Experience working on gender issues and women's economic empowerment
• Fluency in English and Arabic
• Legal right to live and work in Lebanon

• Hybrid consultancy based at UN House ESCWA
• Contract duration is four months
