Supports Cameroon’s national study to redefine Priority Education Zones by coordinating ministries and partners, securing and validating data, organising consultations and workshops, and reviewing technical outputs. The consultancy helps translate evidence into operational recommendations and nationally owned reforms.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily technical work with education ministries and other national institutions
  • Facilitate access to administrative, statistical and sectoral data for the study
  • Consolidate, document and quality-check multisectoral datasets
  • Organise national, regional and local consultations and synthesise stakeholder contributions
  • Prepare technical meetings and support regional and national validation workshops
  • Review study documents and verify the institutional relevance of proposals
  • Develop operational recommendations for Priority Education Zone designation and monitoring
  • Produce inception, consultation, workshop, synthesis and final mission reports

Role Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in education sciences, education planning, statistics, demography, economics, public policy, development or a related field
  • At least eight years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in education planning, monitoring and evaluation, data management or education policy
  • Knowledge of Cameroon’s education system
  • Experience collaborating with national public administrations and facilitating multi-stakeholder consultations
  • Excellent command of French
  • Professional working proficiency in English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with UNICEF, United Nations agencies or technical and financial partners
