Overview

Provides technical leadership for a nutrition-sensitive agriculture and institutional-strengthening project serving family farms and nine regional nutrition offices. The consultancy coordinates planning, implementation, partnerships, monitoring and capacity building to improve food and nutrition security results.

Responsibilities

  • Plan the nutrition-sensitive agriculture project and its implementation approach
  • Manage project delivery, monitoring and achievement of results
  • Provide technical and operational support to implementing partners
  • Coordinate with UNICEF teams and technical and institutional partners
  • Build networks and partnerships supporting project delivery
  • Develop knowledge products and strengthen partner capacity
  • Support nutrition behaviour-change training and facilitation

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in nutrition, agriculture, development economics, rural development, project management, food systems or a related field
  • At least five years of relevant national experience in programme planning and management related to food and nutrition security
  • Experience with community nutrition programmes and knowledge of multisectoral nutrition in Madagascar
  • Experience developing training materials and facilitating nutrition and social and behaviour change training
  • Fluency in French
  • Good knowledge of English
