Summary of Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver six online awareness sessions in Tamil and Sinhala on the PSTA, NGO Act and Online Safety Act
  • Develop curricula, session plans, presentations, case studies, exercises and facilitator materials
  • Create compliance checklists, frequently asked questions and scenario-based discussion guides
  • Facilitate participatory discussions, breakout exercises, polls and peer learning
  • Assess learning through pre-session and post-session evaluations and participant feedback
  • Report activities, engagement, outcomes, recommendations and lessons after each session and at assignment completion
  • Coordinate planning, implementation, reporting and quality assurance with the Programme Manager

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in law, human rights, criminal justice, governance, public policy or a relevant discipline
  • At least seven years of professional experience in legal practice, access to justice, human rights, governance or protection programming
  • Experience designing legal-awareness or capacity-building initiatives for civil-society organisations
  • Experience with Sri Lanka's legal and regulatory environment affecting civic space
  • Experience developing curricula, learning materials, assessments and training reports
  • Fluent English, Sinhala and Tamil
  • Proficiency with Google Meet and online learning tools

Desired Criteria

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field
  • Attorney-at-Law qualification from Sri Lanka Law College
  • Experience with UN agencies, international organisations or donor-funded programmes
  • Experience with grassroots or community-based civil-society organisations
  • Experience advising on civic space, digital rights, governance or regulatory compliance
