Overview

Builds priority back-end and full-stack enhancements for UN-Habitat’s GEMS and MIND platforms, strengthening registration privacy, access security, event workflows, reporting and integrations so high-priority functionality can be delivered in parallel within a three-month assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Build consent, amendment and self-service data-management workflows into online registration
  • Implement operator authentication, time-boxed access, network restrictions and suspicious-access alerts
  • Add AI-assisted photo and background quality checks and multilingual accessible registration forms
  • Develop demographic and attendance reports and restricted reporting views
  • Fix event slotting, date filters and participant-organisation data-quality issues
  • Build legislative event workflows, media accreditation and expo application modules
  • Create exports, combined PDF outputs and website integrations for Urban October events

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, management information systems, information technology, engineering or a related field
  • At least two years of professional full-stack web-development experience
  • Technical proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and a relational database
  • Working experience with Git version control
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
