Artificial Intelligence Product Owner and Quality Assurance Consultant

Provides product ownership and quality assurance for WMO’s AI tools and partner dashboard, translating business needs into specifications, validating extraction accuracy, coordinating users and developers, and ensuring secure, scalable, maintainable deployment and operational handover.

• Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical product specifications
• Maintain requirements, enhancements, issues and corrective actions and coordinate implementation priorities
• Develop test datasets, validation protocols, performance indicators and accuracy benchmarks
• Conduct quality assurance, acceptance testing and reviews of extraction accuracy and confidence scores
• Coordinate user testing and communication among WMO stakeholders, developers and technical focal points
• Review architecture, hosting, security, maintainability and scalability requirements
• Prepare progress reports, risk logs, technical documentation and knowledge-transfer materials

• Advanced university degree in computer science, data science, information systems, engineering, digital transformation, business analytics or a related field, or a first-level degree with qualifying programming, machine-learning and AI experience
• Working knowledge of generative AI applications
• Experience with large language models, retrieval systems, information extraction and document processing
• Experience translating business needs into automated systems
• Understanding of AI lifecycle management, validation methodologies and quality assurance
• Knowledge of Agile and iterative software-development approaches
• Excellent spoken and written English

• Home-based consultancy for 90 days over nine months
