Rapid Assessments Consultant

The consultant updates Pillar 2 Rapid Assessments for at least 30 Early Warnings for All countries, coordinating meteorological services and regional offices to collect, verify and document complete evidence on national hazard-monitoring, forecasting and warning-system capacity.

Department: Planning, Foresight and Performance Office

• Develop the country data-collection workplan and engagement schedule
• Coordinate consultations with regional offices and national meteorological services
• Conduct online interviews to update assessment questionnaires
• Collect and verify policies, reports, data and supporting evidence
• Resolve missing responses, inconsistencies and clarification needs
• Document engagement records, evidence gaps and follow-up actions
• Submit a complete data-collection package for each country

• University degree or equivalent in social science, statistics, disaster risk reduction, meteorology, hydrology, geosciences, development studies, international relations or a related field
• At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in monitoring and evaluation, data collection, stakeholder engagement or policy work
• Experience conducting assessments or evaluations, applying monitoring frameworks and supporting structured data collection
• Experience facilitating country engagement and stakeholder consultations
• Excellent written and spoken English
