Summary of Responsibilities
- Advise field offices on premises management, grants, rental advances and compensation claims
- Review premises agreements and advise on negotiations against UN standard terms
- Maintain premises and equipment records in VISION with Accounts Section coordination
- Evaluate capital-project submissions, leases, acquisitions, renovations and common-premises proposals
- Review construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, schedules and risk-mitigation plans
- Guide contracting, tender documentation and selection of construction and engineering teams
- Represent UNICEF in common-premises meetings and support sustainability initiatives
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in Architecture, Project Management, Civil Engineering, Property Management, Construction Management, Facilities Management or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant international experience supporting property or construction projects
- Proficiency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience in premises and construction, emergency and complex scenarios
- Knowledge of UN standards, TTCP guidelines, accessibility, green building practices and eco-efficiency initiatives
- Country-level experience in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts
