Women’s Rights and Gender Equality

Facilitate a regional meeting on women’s rights and gender equality, guiding high-level dialogue on personal status laws and family law reform across Arab States. The consultancy combines substantive legal expertise, multicultural facilitation and a concise recommendations report for UN Women stakeholders.

Department: Regional Office for Arab States

• Review meeting background materials and the agenda
• Facilitate all regional meeting sessions and discussions
• Guide dialogue on gender equality, personal status laws and family law reform
• Moderate plenary sessions and breakout groups
• Prepare a summary report with recommendations

• Master’s degree in law, gender studies, human rights, political science or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least two years of professional national or international experience in gender equality, women’s rights, legal reform or a related field
• Experience facilitating high-level regional consultations
• Expertise in personal status and family laws across the Arab States region
• Fluency in English

• This is an office-based consultancy
• The assignment requires three days of travel
