Responsibilities
- Set strategic priorities and translate UN Women’s plans into country programmes and results
- Manage country workplans, budgets, monitoring, reporting, audits and security compliance
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, performance management and office resources
- Represent UN Women in the UN Country Team and integrate gender equality into joint programming
- Influence national policy, legislation, planning and budgeting through senior-level advocacy
- Build partnerships with government, donors, civil society, academia, media and the private sector
- Lead resource mobilisation, donor coordination and knowledge-management strategy
- Direct a team of 15 personnel and provide matrix leadership across functions
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social sciences, human rights, gender or women’s studies, international development or a related field, or a first degree plus two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least seven years of progressively responsible experience designing, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development projects
- Experience establishing relationships between international organisations and national governments
- Fluency in English
