Head of Country Office, Togo

The country-office head serves as IFRC’s senior representative in Togo, directing humanitarian programmes, National Society support, partnerships, resource mobilization and office resources while safeguarding staff and ensuring accountable, secure and locally led disaster preparedness and response.

Department: Togo Country Office

• Lead IFRC operations, programmes and country-office resources in Togo
• Advise Togo Red Cross leadership on governance and organizational development
• Coordinate Movement partners and build government, civil-society and private-sector partnerships
• Lead resource mobilization and humanitarian diplomacy
• Direct disaster preparedness, surge support and response coordination
• Manage staff, budgets, reporting, compliance and organizational risk
• Maintain security management for personnel, assets and operations
• Represent IFRC in national and regional forums

• Postgraduate degree in social sciences, development studies, strategic or programme management, management studies or a relevant discipline, or equivalent qualifying experience
• IMPACT course or equivalent knowledge
• At least ten years managing operations for a humanitarian or development organization
• At least five years in senior management and five years within the Red Cross or Red Crescent Movement
• Experience managing programmes, people, security regulations, partnerships and resource mobilization
• Professional experience in the region
• Fluency in spoken and written English and French
