Summary of Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor weapon-contamination activities under ICRC standards
- Assess explosive hazards and investigate incidents affecting staff and civilians
- Coordinate training and technical support for the Myanmar Red Cross Society
- Collect and analyse weapon-contamination and casualty data
- Develop procedures, guidance, training materials and monitoring tools
- Coordinate logistics and administration for field activities and workshops
- Monitor budgets, expenditure records and operational documentation
- Provide English and Burmese interpretation and translation during field work
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, disaster risk management, international relations, social sciences, public administration or a related field
- Minimum two to three years of experience in humanitarian operations, weapon contamination, mine action, risk reduction or project coordination
- Experience in data management, reporting and Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency in written and spoken Burmese and English
- Ability to work independently in challenging environments and maintain confidentiality
Desired Criteria
- Familiarity with the humanitarian context in Myanmar
- Previous ICRC or humanitarian-organisation experience
