Field Security Associate (Two Positions)

Supports IOM security risk management in Chuuk by maintaining situational awareness, security plans, communications equipment and incident reporting. The role coordinates with authorities, trains personnel and provides operational safety support for field and maritime missions.

Department: Office of Staff Security

• Maintain security information networks with UNDSS, government agencies and local authorities
• Collect, update and communicate security situation information for Chuuk
• Develop security, contingency, emergency response and business continuity plans
• Monitor personnel compliance with security protocols, training and clearance requirements
• Maintain staff lists, communications systems, equipment inventories and safety information
• Report security incidents and prepare weekly and incident reports
• Deliver maritime security training, staff orientations and field-mission safety support

• University degree in security, social sciences, international studies, communications or a related field with three years of relevant experience, or completed high school with five years of relevant experience
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Fluency in written and spoken Chuukese

• Two positions are available
• Special short-term graded contract for up to nine months
