UNV Expert – Supply and Logistics

Strengthens UNICEF Venezuela's supply operation by managing procurement, contracts, logistics and inventory controls, coordinating suppliers and authorities, analysing risks and performance, and ensuring critical goods and services reach programmes and emergency operations efficiently and compliantly.

Department: Supply and Logistics Section

• Review requisitions and specifications for quality, budget, funding and operational relevance
• Maintain procurement files, purchase orders, contracts and logistics service orders
• Track suppliers, deliveries, invoices and order closure to resolve delays
• Prepare supply plans, emergency plans, performance indicators and data analysis
• Coordinate receiving, warehousing, transport, distribution and inventory records
• Manage import, tax exemption, protocol and customs documentation with authorities
• Conduct market analysis, supplier identification and competitive procurement processes
• Prepare executive reports on priorities, risks, delays and corrective actions

• At least seven years of relevant experience in supply, logistics, procurement, contracting, vendor management, contract administration, operations or emergency response
• Demonstrated experience procuring and contracting goods, services and works
• Professional training or experience in economics, finance, administration, procurement, logistics, inventory management or a related field
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Fluency in Spanish
