Job Description

Creates publication-ready layouts for YUNGA Challenge Badges that help children and young people engage with sustainable development. Online volunteers will apply FAO visual standards to multilingual educational materials, refine designs with the YUNGA team and deliver editable source files and final PDFs that are clear, accessible and suitable for schools and youth groups.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Review assigned Challenge Badge content, templates, branding guidelines and reference publications
  • Create layouts in the YUNGA design template using consistent typography, colour and visual hierarchy
  • Format text, tables, activity boxes, references and captions for accessible youth-friendly publications
  • Source or place FAO-approved visual assets while respecting branding and copyright requirements
  • Incorporate FAO and YUNGA feedback and complete design revisions
  • Run final checks for styles, cross-references, image quality, alignment and print or digital readiness
  • Deliver editable source files and publication-ready PDF files

Role Requirements

  • Professional experience in graphic design and document-layout design
  • In-depth knowledge of graphic design applications
  • Fluency in English or French

Desired Criteria

  • Degree in graphic design or a related field
