Responsibilities
- Advise the Minister and senior management on social and child protection policy
- Guide the conceptual design of an integrated national social protection system
- Provide technical leadership on regulatory, political-economy and financing frameworks
- Coordinate high-level policy processes across national and regional institutions
- Strengthen rights-based delivery, coherence and implementation of social protection interventions
Requirements
- Master’s or doctoral degree in social studies, economics, law, public administration or a related field
- At least 12 years of progressive experience managing public-sector social protection interventions
- Expertise navigating political economies and presenting rights-based agendas in diplomatic contexts
- Experience negotiating policy processes and conducting high-level engagements on national and international platforms
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Amharic
