Overview
Leads projects that strengthen the economic empowerment of migrants and their families, coordinating delivery, budgets, partners and capacity building. The role analyses economic and policy developments, supervises staff and turns lessons from implementation into procedures, concepts and new initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of economic-empowerment projects and adjust workplans to field conditions
- Analyse economic, policy and legislative developments relevant to project delivery
- Monitor expenditures and maintain approved project budgets and revisions
- Coordinate financial, administrative and technical delivery under IOM and donor requirements
- Plan and conduct capacity-building workshops for internal and external partners
- Maintain liaison with authorities, financial institutions, donors, UN agencies and civil-society partners
- Prepare correspondence, briefings, presentations and narrative and financial reports
- Document lessons, develop procedures and concepts, and supervise reporting staff
Requirements
- School diploma with seven years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, political or social sciences, international relations, development studies, migration studies, human rights, law or a related field with five years of relevant experience
- Experience liaising with governmental authorities, international institutions, UN agencies and non-governmental organisations
- Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced people, trafficking victims or other vulnerable groups
- Fluency in written and spoken English, Tajik and Russian
