Senior Officer, AI Cloud and Security

Secure and govern IFRC’s artificial-intelligence platforms and cloud data environment across multiple regional duty countries. The officer manages AI lifecycles, assesses risks and compliance, automates data-security workflows, strengthens Azure controls and advises leadership on emerging AI security practices.

Department: AI and Data Unit

• Manage AI platforms across development, testing and production environments
• Implement AI model deployment, monitoring and retirement practices
• Assess AI applications against policy, ethical and regulatory requirements
• Lead risk assessments, threat modelling and incident-response planning
• Maintain data lineage and secure governance for AI models and pipelines
• Automate data-security posture workflows using Microsoft tools
• Monitor Azure security controls and access configuration
• Advise leadership and staff on AI security risks and emerging practice

• Degree in computer science, information security, data science or a related field
• At least seven years of AI or machine-learning development and deployment experience
• At least five years of cloud-security and data-governance experience
• Experience implementing AI security frameworks and compliance standards
• Expertise in AI model lifecycle management and MLOps
• Experience with generative AI, large language models and prompt engineering
• Expert-level Azure proficiency and knowledge of secure coding and vulnerability management
• Fluent written and spoken English
