Security Associate

Provides technical, operational and administrative security support for UNICEF personnel, premises and assets in Afghanistan. The role contributes to security planning, risk assessment, incident preparedness, local networks, staff training and compliant delivery of safety services at two duty stations.

• Support security planning for UNICEF personnel, premises and assets
• Conduct security assessments and contribute to risk-control measures
• Deliver operational and administrative safety and security services
• Maintain security networks with local counterparts and service providers
• Support emergency preparedness, incident management and crisis response
• Prepare security information, records and compliance documentation
• Support security knowledge management and staff capacity building

• Completed secondary education supplemented by relevant technical, security, military, police or university courses
• Six years of progressively responsible security-related experience
• Experience in security operations, risk assessment, emergency preparedness, incident management, access control or crisis response
• Proficiency in English

• Temporary appointment covering positions in Jalalabad and Kandahar
• General Service applicants must hold valid local work authorisation
• Appointment is subject to medical clearance
