Advises central banks across the Western Balkans and Moldova on modernising monetary and foreign-exchange operations, governance and reporting, while designing regional capacity-development programmes, managing technical missions and experts, coordinating donors, budgets and results, and assuring IMF-consistent advice.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical assistance on central-bank operations and governance
  • Assess monetary frameworks and market operations
  • Recommend legislative, regulatory and operational reforms
  • Coordinate technical missions, workshops and peer learning
  • Review mission documents and ensure timely outputs to authorities
  • Lead annual work planning and budgeting for the regional programme
  • Coordinate experts, headquarters backstoppers and other providers

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in economics, finance, accounting or a related field
  • At least five years of experience working in a central bank
  • Deep understanding of international standards for monetary and foreign-exchange operations
  • Strong spoken and written English
  • Strong drafting and reporting skills
  • Capacity for extensive regional travel
