Research Contracts Officer(P3)

Manages the financial, contractual and digital processes supporting IAEA coordinated research activities. The officer advises project teams, reviews research agreements and reports, monitors budgets, produces analysis and statistics, improves systems and liaises with Member States and institutions.

Department: Research Contracts Administration Section

• Administer research contracts, agreements and coordinated research projects
• Review proposals, reports and amendments for policy and funding compliance
• Analyze budgets, forecasts and financial performance
• Prepare committee papers, statistical reports and programme documentation
• Advise project officers throughout the research-project lifecycle
• Coordinate business requirements, testing and improvement of digital applications
• Liaise with finance, legal, IT, institutions and Member State representatives
• Support the IAEA Collaborating Centres programme

• University degree in business administration, finance, accounting, information systems, data analytics or a related field
• At least five years of programme-development and financial-management experience
• Experience managing a diverse programme serving developed and developing countries
• Experience analyzing financial and operational data and preparing management reports
• Excellent written and spoken English

• Fixed-term regular appointment for 36 months with a one-year probation period
• Tax-free annual net base salary starts at USD 71,335, plus a current variable post adjustment of USD 37,094
