Job Description

Provides programme, administrative and knowledge-management support to UNLIREC, coordinating workshops, official events, travel, procurement and communications while liaising with government focal points, UN agencies and the executive office. The assignment also maintains electronic records, develops knowledge-sharing systems and contributes information for donor and institutional reporting.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate travel, visas, expenses, service requisitions and programme administration
  • Organise official receptions, meetings, workshops, seminars and courses
  • Liaise with government focal points, United Nations agencies and the executive office
  • Prepare programme correspondence and inputs for donor and external-client reporting
  • Support contracts, tendering, procurement requirements and purchases under United Nations procedures
  • Maintain electronic programme records and develop systems for sharing institutional knowledge
  • Contribute programme information to institutional communications

Role Requirements

  • Education in administration, finance or another relevant discipline
  • At least five years of experience in a programme or project area relevant to the assignment
  • Experience coordinating workshops, seminars, meetings and official events, including logistics and travel arrangements
  • Experience supporting procurement and administrative procedures under United Nations regulations
  • Residence in Port-au-Prince, Haiti
  • English and French proficiency
  • Availability to serve full time without another employment relationship
