Overview

Manages WFP Tanzania’s climate-resilience portfolio, providing technical guidance for landscape rehabilitation, natural-resource management and regenerative livelihoods while monitoring field delivery, developing proposals, coordinating partners, building capacity and embedding nutrition, gender and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor integrated resilience projects through field visits
  • Develop proposals for the climate-resilience portfolio
  • Advise on natural-resource management and regenerative agriculture
  • Coordinate climate initiatives across WFP and cooperating partners
  • Build government and partner capacity across relevant sectors
  • Represent WFP and maintain strategic partnerships
  • Produce reports, procedures, briefs, case studies and lessons

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in climate studies, agriculture, environmental studies, natural-resource management, international development or a related discipline
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in climate mitigation and adaptation, natural-resource management, agriculture, international development or a related sector
  • Relevant field experience in food security, rural livelihoods, asset creation or climate programming
  • Fluency at Level C in English and Kiswahili
