The Programme Management Officer advances UNEP's One Health work by managing projects, research and policy analysis across biodiversity, climate, pollution and public health; facilitating consultations, training and field missions; coordinating partners, budgets and funding; and turning survey and programme data into decisions.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate One Health programmes and projects and track corrective actions
- Plan and facilitate client workshops and other consultations and support change action plans
- Research and analyse environmental and public-health issues and contribute to policy development and studies
- Design surveys and data-collection tools and interpret results for programme decisions
- Prepare background papers, reports, studies, publications and presentations
- Support conferences and meetings, conduct training and participate in or lead field missions
- Coordinate project budgets, funding submissions, progress reports and financial statements
- Analyse programme data and communicate trends through graphs, charts, tables and reports
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, Interdisciplinary Studies, Social Sciences or a related field, or a first-level university degree combined with qualifying experience
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible programme or project management experience in One Health, biodiversity, climate or pollution linked to health
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in developing countries
- At least 2 years of experience working in an international organisation such as the United Nations
- Fluency in English at UN Level II
Desired Criteria
- Completion of degree or non-degree programmes in data analytics, business analytics or data science
- Experience in international interagency initiatives involving health and environment sectors
- At least 2 years of experience in data analytics or a related area
