Responsibilities
- Coordinate implementation workstreams for the Digital Transformation Strategy across headquarters and field missions
- Support project governance, implementation reviews, progress monitoring and accountability
- Help design, prototype and test technology-enabled solutions with end users
- Research artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and data-driven peacekeeping approaches
- Analyse and visualise operational data to support evidence-informed decisions
- Develop and document AI use cases, tools and agents for business and knowledge processes
- Create briefings, newsletters, presentations, web content and learning materials
- Organise training, workshops, consultations and hybrid events and track follow-up actions
Requirements
- Current or completed graduate study, or current or completed final-year bachelor’s study, in a field related to the internship
- Proficiency in standard computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Teams
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Applicants must not have previously served a total of six months as a UN Secretariat intern
- Applicants must not be a child, sibling, son-in-law or daughter-in-law of an active UN Secretariat staff member

Additional info
- Internship is unpaid and full-time at 35 hours per week
- Interns are expected in the office at least four days each week under hybrid working arrangements
- The first three months are designed to be in person, with possible later adjustment based on office needs
- Travel, visa, accommodation and living costs are borne by the intern or sponsoring institution
- Eligible non-citizens may require a G-4 visa and valid work authorisation
