The UN Department of Peace Operations seeks an online volunteer to design up to ten pocket cards for the Deployment Review Mobile Application. Working with the Light Coordination Mechanism and UN focal points, the volunteer will create accessible layouts, integrate feedback and prepare digital files that make peacekeeping guidance on protection, safety and security easier for field use.

• Design and format up to ten pocket cards ranging from one to five pages each
• Work with the LCM team and designated United Nations focal points responsible for card content
• Create visually appealing, accessible and user-friendly layouts for peacekeepers in the field
• Incorporate feedback from the LCM team and subject-matter experts
• Prepare final design files for digital dissemination through the mobile application
• Apply UN corporate branding and design guidelines to all materials

• Professional experience in graphic design, document layout, publication design or visual communication
• Strong proficiency in graphic design applications such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva or equivalent tools
• Ability to produce high-quality visual products within agreed timelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Experience designing communication or training materials for international organizations, NGOs, government institutions or public-sector entities
• Portfolio or samples of previous design work
• Access to professional graphic-design software
