Overview

Strengthens learning-to-earning pathways for unaccompanied children and young migrants by training educators and frontline workers, supporting national integration of skills models, documenting evidence and advancing policy dialogue on education, inclusion and youth participation.

Responsibilities

  • Build the capacity of frontline workers, educators and teachers supporting unaccompanied children
  • Develop and promote learning materials and e-learning content for skills-building programmes
  • Support integration of Skills4Youth models into national education and labour systems
  • Document the pilot integration of skills programming within the national socio-labour inclusion programme
  • Monitor policies affecting unaccompanied children and translate evidence and youth perspectives into advocacy
  • Convene reception, education and government stakeholders to address operational and governance barriers

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Education or a related field
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience, including one year in project management
  • Proven experience using research and evidence for programming or advocacy
  • Proven experience developing learning materials and building the capacity of frontline workers or teachers
  • Experience working directly with children or adolescents with a migration background
  • Fluency in Italian
  • Fluency in English
  • Italian nationality eligibility for this national consultancy
